Apologia Chemistry: Moles and Stoichiometry

Hi there!  We've been stuck on moles and stoichiometry forever.  We're prepping Can You Make 2 Grams Lab, learning how to calculate molar mass, etc.  As a break, we're doing Beanium.  don't worry.  We'll be back.  Moles takes at least a month.

Update:
I realized the mole concept was still murky and assigned The Mole Lab.  Basically, locate samples of elements: iron nails, copper, lead, metal cubes from the density set, and a few household compounds, such as sodium chloride, table salt, NaCl.  During the lab, the kids weigh the object or sample, determine the molar mass, and convert the mass into moles.   This simple lab brings home the mole concept.

The kids also were struggling with precipitates--so we are in the middle of the Precipitate Lab to generate a data table similar to this one in order to be able to describe precipitates.
