techniques, such as to decant, to weight, to measure volume with a graduated
cylinder, etc.

|
Independent Student Practice
|
The instructor will evaluate
all students and their ability to practice safe lab techniques. The instructor will observe the student and
record in the grade book that they have demonstrated correct and safe
techniques.
|
Culminating or Closing
Procedure / Activity / Event

Pedagogical Strategy(ies)
|
Hands-on
|
Differentiated Instruction
|
Describe accommodations for
such groups as English Language Learners, hearing impaired, learning
disabled, physically disabled, and/or gifted/accelerated learners. Students will be able to demonstrate
individually to the instructor their mastery of the lab skills.
|
Student Assessment/Rubrics
|
Describe how you will know if
students have met the objective(s) for this lesson (include pre- and
post-assessment plans—formal and/or informal, summative and/or formative,
etc.). Students demonstrate physically
their ability to perform lab
techniques safely and correctly.
Each lab activity will require
observations, calculations, and/or CER reports. There are lab safety and equipment quizzes.
