Biology on a Budget: Create a Baby Lab

 I love the Create A Baby Lab.  You need coins, pencils, and sketch paper.  The kids flip coins to determine a baby’s traits.  They draw the results.  Each baby created is a unique mosaic of traits inherited from mom and dad.  The activity drives home basic concepts: allele, genotype, phenotype, dominant, recessive, etc. Trust me, this is fun!
