Flinn Chromatography ChallengeAfter the class completed their quiz on matter and a follow up discussion, they performed several experiments.  Today, they performed Experiment 1.1, Composition of Atoms and 1.3, Concentration. They also learned about chromatography. One student, L., is studying Chemistry and Physics.  Her text has a great idea for chromatography using chalk sticks.  While neither the Chemistry nor the Physical Science textbooks have an experiment on chromatography, it is one the kids should do.  Thin layer chromatography is an important scientific tool.Flinn Chromatography ChallengeFood Dye Chromatography.
