WA: Earth Science

The class is working on their first portfolio submission, a raised bed by the Cottages.  Earth Science is starting the Rocks and Minerals Unit and should read Chapter 3.  They are doing a review of Chemistry in preparation for the Minerals unit.  Next up is a crystal lab.  The class will make several super-saturated solutions to crystallize: Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate), Sea salt (sodium chloride), Sugar (sucrose), and Alum (potassium aluminum sulfate).
