I am all about easy lessons centered on a topic with wide appeal. Pulleys are usually part of Simple Machines lessons. See what the library has available about pulleys.
Teach Engineering has a complete lesson, Powerful Pulleys. You may just want to try Pulley’ing Your Own Weight instead. Here, here, here, and here are pulleys with different materials, such as a rolling pin, LEGOs, or a spool from thread. Here is a harder, pulley lesson for older kiddos. Culminate an afternoon of fun with this Pulley Challenge. Who can lift the most marbles? Make this the best year ever!
