Physical Science: The girls are learning how to name ionic and covalent compounds and are preparing for the Chemistry Show: Flubber, Oobleck, Lava Lamps, and more! This coming week the girls will have several practice quizzes on both the names of elements and compounds. They will continue to work on lessons for their Chemistry Show. Both the second and third grade classes will be guest for their Show. Additionally, the class is working on a timeline of the development of the Periodic Table: Dmitri Mendeleev, Johann Dobereiner, A.E. de Chancourtois, John Newlands, Stanislao Cannizzaro, Glen Seaborg, Lothar Meyer, William Odling, and Henry Moseley. The timeline should have birth, death, and year with major contribution to the development of the Periodic Table.
