Before you buy a unit study, be sure to check for free resources. I don’t mean those websites where you have to subscribe, either. Do your kiddos want to study the Solar System? NASA’s Science of the Sun is a complete lesson plan. Topics include relative distance, seasons, and what is a year. This unit plan has hand-outs for an interactive notebook, infographics, projects and activties. You could use this plan as it is and produce a solid unit study.
