1.Edible Aquifer is a combined activity and lesson. Kiddos learn about the layers as they build their own edible aquifer—always a huge hit! The combos can be a little yucky to eat.
2. For your tiniest kiddos, try Pop Rocks Volcanos instead of a vinegar and baking soda volcano. Every kiddos should make one once.
3. Graham Cracker Plate Tectonics is another edible lab with an explanation. Here are more photos explaining how the plates move, in terms of the frosting. Print and go! Won’t you be a fun mom!
4. Solar Eclipse Cookies or this eclipse with Oreos is quick and fun. My friend made the cookies below for the last major eclipse in our area.
5. There are several LEGO lessons: erosion and deposition, subsidence (high school level topic), layers of the earth, and boreholes. Happily, you just need LEGOs. Some of the activities are sophisticated enough for high schoolers. (Earth Learning Ideas, while clunky, has loads and loads of resources.)
