I just ordered a set of 100 microscope slides from Temu. Amazon has a similar set for almost the same price. Mine arrived in great shape and has a nice variety of slides. I haven’t had any problems with Temu; but I understand your trepidation. Below is a photo of my set and a few more good values. The colorful boxed sets of 48 slides are fine for kiddos, but not as useful for high school biology.
