We started the Plants unit and photosynthesis is tough. I’m evaluating different models. Today, we’re going all in on plants. I’m starting with a short intro, getting out microscopes and slides, giving the kids What’s in a Leaf? (key), Leaf Anatomy Coloring (key), and starting the leaf model. Below are a few different photosynthesis models. Here is an entire unit study. I’m using Photosynthesis (Google Slides) just for the leaf and overview slide.
1. This model uses egg crates and ping pong balls.
2. Photosynthesis uses LEGO bricks.
3. I’m leaning toward a paper leaf model using this a paper leaf.
