Some of my favorite science camp experiments originate with Exploratorium: Pringles Pinhole camera obscura, Flip Sticks, and Roto-copters. Similar experiments were published in two books: The Science Explorer and The Science Explorer Out and About.
Exploratorium also has Science Snacks. Here are some ‘sound snacks’, such as Bee Hummer. My kids at Science Camp did Bee Hummer one year and really liked it. I was afraid it was a little lame. Secret Bells is another ‘snack’ which is also published in The Science Explorer. Every time I’ve done ‘Secret Bells’ with younger kids, it’s been a huge hit. Most of the science experiments published are available online at the Exploratorium website; the difficulty is finding my favorite experiments. I have to sift thought loads of ‘snacks’ to find them. I recommend buying used copies of the books.
