Virtual Science

 If you are instructing remotely or learning science remotely, you’re probably looking for help.   I have used TEKS, Texas Gateway for specific lessons.  Life in the Nerdom has loads of high quality science curricular resources, including Georgia Virtual.  TEKS, Georgia Virtual Learning, and Virtual Virginia are public school programs.  In rural areas, public schools use similar programs to offer AP subjects or Computer classes.  Often in small, rural schools, there are no teachers available to teach a foreign language or Calculus.  Sometimes the science teacher is responsible for all of the science for grades seven to twelve.  Additionally, some public schools offer online classes during the school day or after school for credit recovery.  Students can retake a class online needed for graduation.  Use these types of resources as an overview or tutorial.  The material tend to be basic.  But, if your child is stuck, try it.
